Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and Abdallah Zakaria ("we", "us") for the CordOS app and the cordos.app website. By using CordOS you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

What CordOS is

CordOS provides tools for guitarists: a tuner, a metronome, chord, scale and key references, a songwriter, jam tracks, and tone settings that translate artists' sounds to your own gear. Tone settings are starting points based on documented and publicly described setups. They are not endorsed by the artists or gear makers named, and results depend on your instrument, your equipment and your ears.

Your account

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Keep your sign-in details private; you are responsible for activity under your account. You can delete your account at any time as described in our Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse CordOS. In particular, do not try to access other people's accounts or data, interfere with the service, copy or reverse engineer the app, or use it to break the law.

Names, brands and content

Artist names, song titles and gear brands belong to their owners and are used only to describe sounds and equipment. CordOS and the # mark are our trademarks. The backing tracks in Jam are original recordings owned or licensed by us; you may play along with them in the app but may not extract, copy or redistribute them. Your own saved gear, rigs and progressions remain yours.

Purchases

CordOS is free to start. If paid features are offered, purchases and subscriptions are made through the App Store or Google Play, which handle billing, renewal and refunds under their own terms.

No warranty

CordOS is provided "as is" and "as available". We work hard to keep it accurate and reliable, but we do not promise it will be error-free or always available, and tuning, timing and tone information is provided for guidance only.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of CordOS, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Changes and termination

We may update the app and these terms. If a change is material we will tell you in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
